CANHEIT call for proposals

Deadline extended to March 29

To submit a presentation proposal to the CANHEIT 2023 programming committee, complete the submission form on the Ex Ordo platform by March 29, 2023.

Drawing on the vast community of higher education IT leaders, experts and peers, CANHEIT 2023 will provide the opportunity to present and participate in thought provoking presentations on content topics such as:

INNOVATING TOGETHER

What new and exciting trends are you enabling, leveraging or implementing to help your institutions realize their objectives and ambitions? AI, automation, cloud, analytics, hybrid, digital everywhere, no-code applications?

COLLABORATION

How are you collaborating and partnering with each other, with institutional or outside stakeholders; within your organization, across institutions or across the sector? Share some examples of intra- or inter-institutional collaborations and partnerships that have created greater benefits than would have been realized individually, or that would not have been possible otherwise.

PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP

Although technology is key, it is ultimately about people. What are you doing to lead, guide, retain and support your greatest asset – the people? How are you supporting equity, diversity and inclusion, professional (and personal) development or organizational development? How have you overcome challenges or found new opportunities in managing teams who work from home or conduct hybrid meetings? How have you approached recruitment with non-traditional candidates? Have you implemented programs around team mental health, morale or organizational transformation? Tell us about programs that have made a significant difference for your people.

SECURITY AS A TEAM SPORT

Information security will be a topic of attention for the foreseeable future, however as the overall landscape evolves, so must our response. New threats require new approaches; awareness and appreciation for the challenge is on the rise and there is an acknowledgement that cyber security is a village effort! What are you doing, individually or collectively, to respond to the ever-present and ever-changing information security landscape?

The 2023 CANHEIT Conference will be hosted at the University of Toronto’s St. George campus, with an option to attend virtually.
