Greg McPherson, Business Manager
Greg has served as CUCCIO’s Business Manager since February 2007, joining the organization soon after it was formed. He brings extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector through his work as the owner of McPherson Management Ltd., an association management company based in Calgary that has been operating for more than 47 years.
As a specialist in association management, Greg provides leadership guidance and high-level administrative support. He has worked with local, provincial, national and international associations across a wide range of industries including business, higher education, agriculture, healthcare, emergency services, information technology, arts and culture, real estate and various trades.
Greg’s mission is to help volunteer association boards operate more strategically by reducing their involvement in day-to-day administrative responsibilities.
Outside his professional work, Greg has enjoyed 31 years of marriage with his wife Lisa. Both were raised in the countryside just outside Calgary, and together they have a daughter, Ashley, who is in her final year of Software Engineering at the University of Victoria. Their family also includes Skyla, their much loved 13-year-old dog.
Greg is a devoted Calgary Flames fan, an avid music enthusiast and someone who enjoys escaping to the mountains for a good hike. He also has a strong interest in family history and genealogy, having traced his roots back to the 1600s. Fun Fact: The McPherson family was among the first to live in Calgary, arriving before the railroad in early 1883. Greg is now writing a book about that rich history.
